Arrive at Cairo International Airport where our representative will greet you and assist you through immigration and customs formalities. After the formalities, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Cairo is the capital of Egypt and the largest city. Nicknamed “The City of a Thousand Minarets”, Cairo is associated with Ancient Egypt due to its proximity to the ancient cities of Memphis, Giza and Fustat, which are near the Great Sphinx and the pyramids of Giza. This morning after breakfast, check out of your hotel and go on a full day sightseeing tour. Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and take in the mysterious Sphinx. Know more about Egypt’s history at the Egyptian Museum and go souvenir shopping at Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Return to your hotel after this amazing day out. Overnight is in Cairo.
This morning after breakfast, transfer to Cairo Domestic Airport for your flight to Luxor. Arrive at Luxor Airport where you will be greeted by our representative before being transferred to Nile Cruise. Check in before lunch. This afternoon, visit the Karnak Temple. The Karnak Temple Complex comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings. The complex is a vast open-air museum and the largest ancient religious site in the world. It is believed to be the second most visited historical site in Egypt, second only to the Giza Pyramids. Approximately thirty pharaohs contributed to the buildings, enabling it to reach a size, complexity, and diversity not seen elsewhere. Move on and visit Luxor Temple before returning for dinner. Overnight is onboard the Nile Cruise.
Breakfast is onboard the cruise. This morning visit the Valley of Kings, named thus as this is where all the Kings were buried. Move on to visit the temple for Queen Hatchepsut, the only Queen to rule over Egypt in guise of a Pharaoh. Visit Colossi of Memnon before returning onboard for lunch. Later set sails for Esna where you will drop anchor. Overnight onboard at Esna.
Breakfast is onboard. This morning sail for Edfu and visit Edfu Temple. The Temple of Edfu is an ancient Egyptian temple located on the west bank of the Nile in the city of Edfu. The temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus, is one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth and religion during the Greco-Roman period in ancient Egypt. Return onboard for lunch. After lunch, you set sail to Kom Ombo where the anchor will be dropped for the night. Overnight onboard at Kom Ombo.
Breakfast is onboard. This morning visit the Kom Ombo Temple, which is an unusual double temple built during the Ptolemaic dynasty. The building is unique because its 'double' design meant that there were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two sets of gods. The southern half of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world with Hathor and Khonsu. Meanwhile, the northern part of the temple was dedicated to the falcon god Horus the Elder, along with Tasenetnofret (the Good Sister, a special form of Hathor) and Panebtawy (Lord of the Two Lands). Later sail to Aswan. Visit the Philae Temple, High Dam and the unfinished Obelisque. Overnight is in Aswan.
This morning, check out of your cruise and visit the Botanical Garden by Felucca. Later transfer to Aswan Domestic Airport for your flight to Cairo. Arrive at Cairo Domestic Airport where you will be met and greeted by our representative who will assist you with formalities before transferring to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. You can relax at your hotel or you can go for a walk through the market and indulge in last minute shopping. Overnight is at Cairo.
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
